Attractions

The resort is fronting the beautiful and crystal clear Pasir Panjang Beach where one can laze in the sun, swim or snorkel. The beach is long and wide, enough for your own personal space. The view is amazing. Alternatively, I strongly recommend making a boat trip to the secluded Pasir Kalong Beach which offers amazing beach sands the crowd. Snorkeling spots can also be found at the beach fronting the resort. Right by the resort’s doorstep is a spot called Tanjung Mak Cantik which offers decent snorkeling experience between the boulder outcrops. To the far north is a popular snorkeling spot calledTanjung Tengah which is known for its colony of juvenile blacktip reef sharks.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 Upon arrival, you will be met and transfer to the hotel. Free at leisure after check-in.

Day 2 After breakfast, drive 2 hours overland (88km) to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu. The Mountain Garden, an excellent 5-acre specimen of entire Kinabalu Park area gives a wonderful sneak preview of the place. At the Exhibition Hall, a very informative video presentation is shown every afternoon. Evenings and early morning at the park are perfect for bird watching with over 300 species known to inhabit the area. Kinabalu Park received the greatest recognition of its biological contribution when it was declared Malaysia’s first World Heritage in 2000. From the cool temperatures at the Kinabalu Park, down to the warm baths at Poring, the usual swing-by for climbers seeking to rejuvenate trail-weary bodies. Poring is also for those in search of rare orchids and unusual plants such as the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia. The canopy walkway at 41m upwards brings you eye level with the treetop.

Day 3 After breakfast, transfer to jetty for 20 minutes boat journey to Sapi Island. Sapi Island is ideal for swimming and snorkelling and the fine white sand beach is perfect for catching some rays. Then move over to Manukan Island where pack lunch will be served. More free at leisure. Between them, Gaya, Sapi, Manukan, Mamutik and Sulug Island share tropical vegetation that supports interesting wildlife. (You may request to hop to others island but there will be additional charges). Island entrance fees is included.

Day 4 After breakfast, free at leisure until your departure transfer to the airport.

Located conveniently about 90 km away from Kota Kinabalu along a good road, Mount Kinabalu, at 4,093 metres, is the highest Mountain Kinabalu mountain in Southeast Asia. The road journey which takes between 1 ½ to 2 hours climbs up to heights of 1,500 metres on the southern boundary. There is a bus service which runs past the Park Headquarter twice a day from Kota Kinabalu on the way to Ranau.

Trek to the summit of South- East Asia’s tallest mountain on this thrilling two-day Borneo adventure. You will reach the base of Mount Kinabalu, standing tall at 4095.2 meters (13,435.7ft), after driving through the picturesque Crocker Range. Around the foot of the mountain is the glorious Kinabalu National Park, blessed with a profusion of fascinating tropical plants and animals.

Climb the well-kept Summit Trial through the changing forest scene. See trees festooned with ferns and orchids, wild begonias, insectivorous pitcher plants and a variety of forest animals and birds. Frequent shelters along the path provide welcome resting places.

Stay the night at a rest-house and rise early for your assault on the summit. On a clear morning you will be treated to the glorious sight of the sun rising on the forest paradise of the National Park. A via ferrata (Italian for “iron road”. Plural vie ferrate. In German, klettersteig) is a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, stemples, ladders, and bridges. The use of these allows otherwise isolated routes to be joined to create longer routes which are accessible to people with a wide range of climbing abilities. Walkers and climbers can follow via ferratas without needing to use their own ropes and belays, and without the risks associated with unprotected scrambling and climbing.

The Mountain Torq, with various alternative routes, enables people of all ages to enjoy climbing Mount Kinabalu’s rock faces, giving them a chance to view the mountain from different angles.

Designed as a basic and easy course for beginners, the 2-days 1-night Walk the Torq package allows you to hike up Low’s Peak to reach the summit of Mount Kinabalu.

It will also introduce you to Via Ferrata, where you will take your first steps on our special Torq route, a modest trail made for those who do not have any mountain climbing experience but want to develop some confidence before embarking on tougher trails.

A via ferrata is basically a long climbing route with permanently fixed cables for protection. Steel rungs are used on steeper sections to keep the difficulty of the climbing moderate.

  • Due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen operational conditions, Cuti Cuti Island.com reserves the right to alter or cancel       any itinerary or tours without compensation.
  • The management accents no liabilities for losses incurred due to failure to connect with other service providers and cannot be held      liable for loss of baggage or personal belongings, illness, injuries or loss of life resulting from activities beyond our control.
  • There would be no refund for “No Show” or Cancellation.
  • All rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  • 50% non refundable upon reservation request  and full payment upon comfirmation of reservation.
  • Reservations subject to availability and or confirmation on first come first serve basis.
  • NO REFUND will be made in whole or in part for any unused days or unconsumed food at the Resort resulting from late arrival or         premature departure. Confirmed guests who does not show up will be charged in full and no refund will be made for whatever                 reasons.
